I am a trauma-informed, integrative counsellor with a passion to connect with people and engage in their journey of healing and wellbeing. I work with individual adults and couples, offer them a compassionate, nonjudgmental, and confidential space, and harness their inner resources.

Building on my 25 years of work experience in multicultural contexts, I am on a continual journey of enabling positive change. Like a cascading river on its journey to meet the ocean, I wish to touch people’s lives along the way. Whilst I have immense faith in the potential of human relationships, I am not oblivious to the brokenness in and around us. I firmly believe that these rough edges give us the ability to connect. The journey is challenging, but God’s grace can sustain and heal.

My practice is grounded in Psychodynamic principles, Person-centred approach, and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I also work with a charity on domestic abuse, an EAP agency, and in my private setup, offering sessions in English, Hindi/Urdu.

In the past, I have worked in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Jordan and the UK. I hold a level-4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, am registered and accredited with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and am a member of the International Centre of Excellence for EFT. I also hold a master’s degree in Physics from Nagpur University in India and another in Communications from Bangkok University in Thailand.

In my leisure, I enjoy travelling, reading, walking, listening to music, playing Sudoku, laughing, and spending time with friends and family, especially my husband and daughter.
